Many years before Watson was born, his owners fell in love with the breed at the Virginia Scottish Games. Last fall, when they first laid eyes on him at Hidden Springs Farm, they were struck by how handsome and well-built he was for a 6-week old puppy. Within those few first weeks of ownership, a strong bond was formed, especially with the owners’ son who started the ball rolling when he asked his parents if a Scottie puppy could be his Bar Mitzvah present. Looking back on those early puppy days, he explains, “Having Watson as my dog gave me a new perspective on the meaning of friendship. He is always by my side for walks, he aids me in the strategic hunting of squirrels and challenges me in the 20-yard dash for a tennis ball.” I'm sure that Watson will never miss a chance to attend the Scottish Walk Parade because the Campagna Center is his favorite charity (the Scottish Terrier is the official mascot of Alexandria, Virginia, which was founded by Scottish landholders and merchants in 1749). Look for another portrait of Watson in Gallery 2. His photo was also used as the placeholder for sections of our site that were under construction. Stay...Staaaaay, Watson. Good dog!
