May 2007   Morgan
Morgan a.k.a. Morganza Beagle (when she’s running away with a stolen sock) is a 4-year-old Beagle who lives in North Bethesda, Maryland. We were introduced to Morgan after we received an e-mailed invitation from her Mom to participate in Bethesda’s Strut Your Mutt Dog Festival. (Morgan’s Mom, Cheryl Staab, helps organize the event which benefits the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad). When we responded to Cheryl via her website, we were given the option of e-mailing her or having our dog e-mail her dog Morgan. And that’s the story of how Dakota and Morgan became penpals.

Like Dakota, Morgan is the official mascot of a pet-related business. Morgan’s Mom owns DogCentric, a professional mid-day dog walking company serving lower Montgomery County and Northwest, DC. Morgan works hard as DogCentric’s official Spokesdog and Quality Tester when she’s not busy chasing squirrels or stealing money from Mom’s purse to fund her treat-eating habit.

Morgan’s brother Fred was adopted from Beagle Rescue, Education & Welfare. Morgan and her Mom continue to help animal rescue through DogCentric as well: DogCentric is the dog walking service for the Washington Animal Rescue League. DogCentric provides 20 hours of walking services to the League pro-bono each week!

When Morgan has time off she enjoys hiking, napping and writing to her pen pal Dakota.

Our all-time favorite portrait of Morgan is featured in Gallery 1.
